A Cooperation Agreement was signed on June 29, 2010 between EURAMET (the European Association of National Metrology Institutes), and CEN and CENELEC to increase the opportunities for bridging standardization and European-funded research in the field of metrology. Both parties agree to pursue strategic goals and projects of common interest in the fields of metrology and standardization in support of scientific advancement and technological innovation, so that societal challenges which impact on the economy and the quality of lives within Europe can be met.

CEN-CENELEC and EURAMET seek co-operation in the field of activities of EURAMET, such as research in metrology, knowledge exchange & infrastructural support in metrology and international recognition of national measurement standards and of Calibration and Measurement Capabilities (CMC).

The European Commission Vice-President responsible for Industry and Entrepreneurship, officially handing over the mandate (M/468) to the CENELEC President, the ETSI General Assembly Chairman, the CEN-CENELEC Director General and the Director of Partnerships and EU Affairs of the ETSI Secretariat, at the European Commission premises.

The standard will ensure the interoperability and connectivity between the electricity supply point and the charger of electric vehicles, and guarantee the safety of the electric vehicle batteries and their electromagnetic compatibility. The setting-up of new standards for electric vehicles will further promote the development of the European internal market and help withdraw barriers to trade.

This fifteenth edition of the WTO TBT Standards Code Directory, publisheed in English, French and Spanish, under ISO and IEC logos, lists all standardizing bodies that had notified by 31 December 2009 acceptance of the WTO TBT Code of Good Practice for the Preparation, Adoption and Application of Standards. it also contains the addresses of these bodies and information related to the availibility of their work programs.
