LIBNOR and CYS Workshop to Enhance Dairy Products Export to Europe
In collaboration with Cyprus Organization for Standardization (CYS), LIBNOR organized a workshop on "Exporting Dairy Products to Europe". The two-day workshop, held at the Industrial Research Institute (IRI) on July 15-16, 2010, featured several Lectures on different subject such as: the European Legislation Framework for Food Hygiene & Safety, Primary Production – Raw Milk: European Legislation and Testing, European Legislation & Requirements for Production, Packaging, Storage & Distribution of Dairy Products – Final Product Testing Criteria, European Legislation and Requirements for Retail Sale and Labeling of Dairy Product, European Legislation for Imports of Dairy Products to the European Union (EU) from non-EU Countries. On the second day, many prescheduled meetings between the Lebanese industrialists and the European experts were held.

LIBNOR Organized a Seminar on "Information Security Management System and Software Asset Management
LIBNOR held a seminar on June2, 2010, at Phoenicia InterContinental Hotel, under the Patronage of his Excellency Eng. Abraham Dadayan, Minister of Industry. This seminar, "Information Security Management System and Software Asset Management" was attended by high-level executives of both the public and private sectors and discussed the importance of adopting and implementing the relevant standards related to Information security (ISO 27000 series).

LIBNOR Hosts Regional Carbon Footprint Seminar
In collaboration with SIS (the Swedish Standards Institute), and in a determined move towards a greener future, LIBNOR held a workshop on May 18-19, 2010, at the Radisson Martinez Hotel, under the Patronage of his Excellency Eng. Abraham Dadayan, Minister of Industry. The Workshop was attended by the minister himself, and representatives from ten Arab countries, Swedish experts as well as representatives of IRI and LIBNOR were participating. It stressed on the importance of Environment friendly actions that limit and reduce greenhouse emissions, such as solar energy, reforestation and wind power. The workshop also aimed at improving awareness and offer some of training concerning the audit, verification and control of these emissions. The minister reaffirmed his ongoing support to LIBNOR and its role in improving Lebanese healthcare and consumer safety.

LIBNOR Participates in Fire Protection Conference at Biel
LIBNOR, through its Construction Department Officer, will be participating in the conference "La sécurité incendie, les pratiques françaises et l'approche libanaise" that will be held under the Patronage of the French Embassy in Lebanon and organized by CTICM Middle East. This conference will take place on June 1st, 2010, at 17:30 PM at Biel Beirut, within the framework of PROJECT LEBANON 2010.
